This verse is the heart of the gospel. God chose to become human flesh so that He might remove the curse of our sin and make us new people.
John the apostle describes what he saw as one of the twelve. When Jesus became human flesh, He revealed the glory of God, glory full of grace and truth.
Finally, I love the verse also found in John one: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it” (John 1:5).
The darkness has never overcome the light. The darkness will never overcome the light.
This is a verse of eternal hope. As bad as events are, evil will never overcome the light. Christ is the light of the world and in Him we have our hope.

I like your choices but would only add these to your list because they speak of God’s purpose and his unfathomable love.. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes on him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:17. “See what great love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God!…” 1 John 3:1a
I can never read this and not get emotional. My favorite and I believe the cornerstone of Christianity is,
2 Corinthians 5:21, “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God”. God loves us so much that he made himself into man, took on all our sins, so that we can come ever closer to knowing him better. I cannot even wrap my mind around that gift…the greatest gift of all time!
