Welcome and happy Mother’s Day!
We are thankful to have you and your family at our worship services this weekend. We want to follow the Scriptural command to honor our fathers and mothers.
Let me take this time to tell you who we are at FBC Covington.
We live by this statement: “We exist to help people know and accept Jesus Christ and through Him experience life changing relationships.”
We know that God’s work in our lives is transformative. We want to be a part of God’s transforming work in our world.
One of our goals is to reach the youngest generation with the Gospel. The generation being born now – – including those who are being dedicated to the Lord today – – will be part of the largest generation in American history. These children will make America very different simply by the size of this age group. We want to see them make it different by receiving Christ and living out the Gospel in their lives.
It’s for this reason that we are expanding our campus. The centerpiece of this new expansion is to provide new and larger space for preschoolers and children, including large play areas for both groups.
We want to make FBC a destination for young families. We want to see these families grow in the Lord and influence the people around them.
This Wednesday night (6:30 PM in the Worship Center) we will hear a recommendation from our Strategy Planning Team that we adopt the recommendation and began immediately building new Bible Study space (for Preschool and Children), a Commons area, and a new, larger Worship Center.
Please join us as we see renderings of of the new expansion and also vote on the recommendation by the team.
This is an historic vote which will determine the future of the church. Please help us by praying and seeking God’s leadership. Then, join us as we participate in the congregational meeting.
