Have a Great Summer–and Fall!

I hope you have a great summer, and I hope you have an even greater fall.

Summer is really special. It’s special to all of us, even those people who don’t quite like the heat.

We all enjoy a different schedule and have time away.

Martha and I are very much enjoying our time, and we are also getting ready for the fall and all the opportunities that August and beyond hold for us.

Martha will teach her Bible study each Wednesday morning, and I am planning my preaching for the next year.

Here are two events in August that I hope you don’t miss.

Our next Discovery Class is August 21. It’s already beginning to fill up.

What happens at the Discovery Class? One of the most important aspects for me is getting to meet all the new and prospective members of FBC. I and the other pastors look forward to meeting with you and beginning our ministry together.

It’s also a time of communicating the vision of the church and discussing what makes FBC so unique.

We also give new people the opportunity to join FBC at the conclusion of the class.

Please sign up to meet with us by going to FBCCOV.org.

A second important part of August is kicking off our fall Bible Fellowship Groups.

Our Bible Fellowship Groups are a major part of our church. Through them we make the church small, warm, and intimate.

Through our groups we teach theology and learn how to apply God’s Word to our hectic lives.

Being a part of a BFG is at the top of my goals for the
people of our church.

It will help you have a really good fall.
