Wednesday night I had the privilege of teaching about the conversion of the Apostle Paul. It’s hard to find anything more uplifting or encouraging than the transformation of Saul.

Here is one thing we should all get from the conversion of this avowed hater of the Lord Jesus Christ: the conversion of Paul shows us that God can use any of us and all of us to do significant and wonderful things and that no one is beyond the power of God’s grace.

What does this mean for you and me and how we relate to our world?

Since no one is beyond the power of God’s grace and since everyone can make a difference in God’s kingdom, what should we do to give our best for God?

First, we should pray for the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into His harvest. When Jesus saw The multitudes of people, He told His disciples that the harvest is great. Therefore, they should pray to the Lord of the harvest that He would send laborers into His harvest (Matthew 9:37-38).
Would you do that? Would you pray for preschool, children, and youth workers?

God has given us a great harvest at FBC. We need workers who will help the next generation hear of the wonderful truth of God.

Second, you can pray specifically for your unreached friends and family members.

Why not make a list – – a shortlist– – of your friends and family members who don’t know the Lord? Pray for them often, asking that God would convict them and that they would be open to hearing his truth.

It is always gratifying to hear of someone who prayed for another person for years and years and that person came to faith. That could happen for the people for whom you pray.

Third, seek gospel conversations. Ask God to give you an opportunity to speak of the reason for the hope you have in Christ Jesus. I find that when I pray for those opportunities God puts the right person at the right time and place along the way.

We can make a difference in the lives of people if we will follow God’s principles for dealing with the harvest.
