It Hurts But I’m Okay

Good news! Martha Bailey’s second book is scheduled for release March 14, 2012.

The book, titled It Hurts But I’m Okay, follows in the line of Martha’s first book Putting My Dress-up Clothes Away: Because Big Girls Live in the Real World. Both books are lessons and anecdotes–many humorous, some not–which relate to life and help the reader deal with life as it really is–filled with ups and downs. Life does hurt. We all want to know we will be okay.

Martha is a master story-teller. She’s been keeping me in stitches for years with her great stories and fun lessons. I think that you will find this book to be “a dose of good medicine” that is good for the soul.

But It Hurts But I’m Okay takes you farther than humor. Martha takes you to the deep and hurtful parts of her life, but she’ll also show you the hope that you can find in the midst of the hurts.

I’ve known Martha almost all of her life. She experienced difficult early years. It has been beautiful to see how God has brought Martha through the hurts. I’ve had the unique joy of watching how God has brought healing. She can truly say, “It Hurts But I’m Okay.”

The book will be released at a special event for Martha’s Wednesday Bible Study March 14, 2012, at The ROC on the campus of First Baptist Church, Covington. Thereafter, it will be available at all the usual locations both in bookstores and online. She will participate in book signings in her home area. Hope you can make it.
