Quotations You Can Use (June 8, 2012)

“How would Jesus run for President? He would ask us to judge our opponents by their works (Matthew 7:16-20), but he would not slander or lie about them (Matt. 15:19). If they attacked him, he would love them and pray for them (Matt. 5:44). In short, he would treat others as he would want to be treated (Matt. 7:12)”–Jim Denison, Denison Forum on Truth and Culture.

Charitable giving should be a spiritual, rather than ecnomic, decision. Economically, charitable giving never pays”–Ron Blue.

It seems to me that there should be a connection between what we know and what we do! Unfortunately, some of the most difficult Christians to deal with are those who like to argue Scripture but their life does not reflect either an understanding of Scripture nor a practice of it!John Patterson.

“The people who run Vacation Bible School could run a small country”–Waylon Bailey

“But if we abide in Christ, and He abide in us, if we live under the power of the Holy Spirit, temptation will excite no fascination in us, but, on the contrary, horror”–F.B. Meyer.

“Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen” (Ephesians 3: 20-21).

  1. Jesus did not think twice of identifying the motives of another for all to hear. When His time had come, He held himself to being defenseless on earthly terms, He acknowledged both the Grace He through the Father brought to the situation and His Purpose. You know these quotes. We must not sacrifice the Bride in the name of guarding Her.

Matthew 11:6 And blessed his he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Man up! God reveals each character and purpose for the Bride. May we not redefine His Church for ones own gain.

Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Matthew 11: 19c But wisdom is justified of her children.

Matthew 12:48 b Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

    Romans 12: 4-6

    Thank you Dr. Bailey!
