Quotations You Can Use (August 24, 2012)

“A leader is someone who has the courage to say publicly what everybody else is whispering privately. It is not his insight that sets the leader apart from the crowd. It is his courage to act on what he sees, to speak up when everyone else is silent”–Andy Stanley, Generation Next Leader, 51.

“We humans are never free to determine what fare will be set before us, but we are free to decide how we will partake of it–whether in resentment or in gratitude. And there is a vast difference in which of these ways we choose to ‘eat’ “–John Claypool, The Light Within You, 52.

“People change when they hurt enough they have to change; learn enough they want to change; receive enough they are able to change”–John C. Maxwell, Developing the Leader Within You, 55.

“If you’re nursing a grudge, expect to pay some big doctor bills”–quoted in Warren Wiersbe.

“If we could see ourselves as others see us, we wouldn’t believe it.”

“Caleb and Joshua were the oldest men in the camp [when they prepared to enter the land], and yet they were enthusiastic about trusting God and entering the land. It isn’t a matter of age; it’s a matter of faith, and faith comes from meditating on the Word of God (Jos. 1:8; Rom. 10:17)”–Warren Wiersbe, Be Strong, 38.

  1. Like a marriage before God should be a leader with his people and a people to their leader.

Without interdependence of Both Leadership and People, one or all shall perish.

For the Sake of a Leader, God has spared a people.

For the sake of a people, a leader has been spared.

A leader is a effective as his devotion to God.

Loyalty to God in Christ Jesus is the only True Loyalty that matters.
