There Is Something You Can Do

How many times have you heard someone say: “What can one person do?”

In the Bible the answer is abundantly clear. We can work to make a difference in one person’s life or one person’s circumstance. If you feed one person, you make a difference. If you witness to one person, you make a difference.

There’s another way you can make a difference. You can pray and seek God’s touch on your world.

What difference would there be if one person in your family came to faith in Christ? What difference would there be if one person in every family received salvation?

You and I have an opportunity to make a difference as we begin this new year. We can determine to spend significant time in prayer.

Many groups provide a prayer guide at the beginning of the year. Here’s my suggestion from Louisiana Baptists.

It’s a “21 Days of Prayer” Journal and it’s absolutely free. You can download or subscribe to it at www.lbc.org/21days. You can also link to it from this website www.fbccov.org.

You can sign up in various ways.I chose to subscribe to the website to receive an email each day for the 21 day period. Each day you will receive a devotional (I wrote today’s) that will encourage you to pray for revival and change in our society. What would happen if those who read this blog would seriously spend time with God each day? God can do great things with devoted people.

There is one other area where your prayer can make changes–in your own life. You may not have a regular time daily with God. Follow this guide for 21 days and you will be a long way down the road of establishing a habit of daily time spent with God. Over the past 18 months, I have written several blogs to help you get started. Please look here and here for help in starting your own daily time with God.

Please join with me in prayer for the next 21 days–the people around us need us to pray.

If you would like to receive my daily posts, you can subscribe at the top of the page. It’s easy and it’s free. I would also appreciate your sending this to others as well. Waylonbailey.com is my ministry across the Internet. Thank you for reading and sharing.
