Has The Messiah Already Come?

For Christians, this is not a real question. Of course He has and His name is Jesus.

But for our Jewish friends, particularly among the orthodox, this is a crucial question. Many Jews look and long for the Messiah.

All of this makes what happened in Israel a few years ago fascinating.

According to Israel Today Magazine, the esteemed modern rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri sealed a note before he died to be opened one year after his death. The note contained the name of the Messiah.

When the note was unsealed, Rabbi Kaduri used a device to reveal the Messiah’s name.

For several years Rabbi Kaduri had spoken extensively about the Messiah. Kaduri’s grandson, Rabbi Yosef Kaduri, says he spoke often in his last days about the coming of the Messiah and redemption through the Messiah. His portrayals of the Messiah sound reminiscent of the New Testament.

“It is hard for many good people in the society to understand the person of the Messiah. The leadership and order of a Messiah of flesh and blood is hard to accept for many in the nation. As leader, the Messiah will not hold any office, but will be among the people and use the media to communicate. His reign will be pure and without personal or political desire. During his dominion, only rightousness and truth will reign.” By clicking on this link you can view the entire Israel Today article. http://www.israeltoday.co.il/NewsItem/tabid/178/nid/23877/Default.aspx?hp=readmore

Rabbi Kaduri’s unveiling of the Messiah did not attract much media attention in Israel. In fact, many are now questioning what the rabbi meant.

When his note was opened, he revealed what many have known for centuries: Yehoshua or Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah.

For me those were breathtaking events.

I frankly don’t know what to say about all this, but I know that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah), the Son of the living God. He will reign with justice and righteousness for ever and ever. All who trust in Him will know God and live under His blessings.

  1. AMEN.
    Whose we are?
James identifies himself as a “servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ” and writes to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad his epistle. James 1:1.
The Apostle Paul declares himself a “servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. to the weak became I weak, that I might gain the weak; I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.” 1 Corinthians 9: 19-23

“Free from all men … servant unto all … for the Gospel’s sake…” fellowship found in 1 Corinthians 12:12, 14; Romans 12:5; 1 Peter 2:5

Exercise the Gifts with Love: 1 Corinthians 13

“…lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 2:5 explicated in Romans 12:1-4. “… without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5

    Thank you.

    Blessings

  2. Doesn’t it make sense that Christians and Jews are both waiting for the same Messiah. Fortunately Christians already know the identity since it will be his return visit. Upon Jesus’s return all will know the Messiah. I don’t plan on being here.
