The Change Jesus Makes

“The cross of Christ is the most revolutionary thing to ever appear before men”–A.W. Tozer, The Root of the Righteous, 61.

“That is the greatest thing one person can do for another”–Frank Pollard, describing how a Sunday School teacher introduced him to Jesus.

“My life’s goal is to bring glory to Jesus. My life is not mostly dedicated to the Lord, it is 100% committed to Jesus Christ and His will. God has given me the ability to succeed in the game of baseball. But baseball is not the end; baseball is the means by which my wife, Dee Dee, and I glorify God. Baseball is simply my platform to elevate Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. I would also rather be known as a great husband and father than an All-Star baseball player. Perhaps one day I could be honored with an invitation into Baseball’s Hall of Fame. That would certainly be a boyhood dream of mine come true, but it is a far greater honor that one day I will be in heaven with God to enjoy Him forever”–Albert Pujols.

“There is only one kind of a life that truly wins, and that is the one that places faith in the hands of the Savior. Until that is done, we are on an aimless course that runs in circles and goes nowhere”–John Wooden.

“. . .forgiveness must happen in the heart, and when it does, peace emerges–with or without a complete restoration of the relationship. What matters is that the Holy Spirit is able to dwell in us ungrieved, able to be utterly Himself. The degree to which the Holy Spirit is Himself in me will be the degree to which I am like Jesus and carry out His teachings”–R.T. Kendall, Total Forgiveness, 11.

  1. Not only does He Change the inside and assures ones heavenly presence and power, there is an interconnecting presence with Him in all which are His. This certainly has an ability to bring to the surface the motive of one’s self and others to have “fellowship.” The “flesh” is flushed out; the Spirit elevated bringing insight to the saying, “I never knew you.” Sobering as it may be, it sheds light and salts life. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be Done, on earth as it is in Heaven. On earth: Romans 12:4&5; Psalms 23.
