Love And The Good News

“Time is short, and eternity is long. The end of all things is at hand. Man has proved himself morally unfit to manage the world in which he has been placed by the kindness of the Almighty. He has jockeyed himself to the edge of the crater and cannot go back, and in terrible fear he is holding his breath against the awful moment when he will be plunged into the inferno. In the meantime, a company of people exist on the earth who claim to have the answer to all life’s major questions. They claim to have found the way back to God, release from their sins, life everlasting and a sure guarantee of heaven in the world to come. These are the Christians”–A.W. Tozer, Man–The Dwelling Place of God, 18-19.

“How much do you have to hate somebody to believe everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?”–atheist Penn Jillette (of the Penn & Teller team).

“The best way to change someone is to love them. If you do not love someone, your attempts to change them will be a form of criticism; and they will be counter-productive. . . . Jesus’ command that we are to love our enemies is a brightly shining testament to the fact He is indeed the Hope of our world”–Mark Graham.

“But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he make his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust”–Jesus, Matthew 5: 44-45.

  1. The more I consider the Scriptural History of the treatment received by those (Both A’s) who acted against the Purpose of His Bride from what was perceived as inside of Her, the more I am sensitive to the misapplication of Scripture taken without context. It has taken multiple experiences, personal and observed up close and personal, to conclude such actions among “leaders” and “wolves” in the midst of His lambs have created the largest stumbling block of the Gospel in North America and Europe.

Great and True quotes, in their proper context.

    Blessings
