God’s Call To Serve Him

“A call is what you would do for nothing that others would not do for any amount of money.”

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jer 29:13).

“God chooses, or elects, people for service. No one in the Old Testament is elected because of greatness (see Deuteronomy 7:7-8), nor does God elect an individual to shower him with blessings. Election is by the grace of God, and it is for the purpose of service to others,” Waylon Bailey, As You Go: Biblical Foundations for Evangelism, 11-12.

“[The call to Christian ministry is] the highest and the greatest and the most glorious calling to which anyone can ever be called”–Martyn Lloyd-Jones,

“The Gospel should give us a high opinion of God, a low opinion of ourself, and a sobering opinion of grace”–Corey Olivier.

“Don’t let negative pictures play on the movie screen of your mind. You own the remote control. All you have to do is change the channel”–@PrayInFaith.

  1. “And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?”
    Numbers 22:28

May we have Spiritual eyes to see what The Lord has placed before us.

Christ be near, at either hand.
    Christ around, before me stand.
Christ with me, where’er I go.
    Christ around, above, below.
    Christ control, my wayward heart.
    Christ abide, and never part.
    (Don’t remember the author)

    Blessings
