Three Blessings God Wants For You

Among many other ways you can describe the Bible, you can describe it as a book of blessing and blessings. As you read through the Scripture, you begin to see the many ways God wants to bless you.

As you study the prophecy of Malachi, you find a number of places where God wants to bless us.

First, God wants us to know Him. Knowing God is the ultimate blessing. God created us to know Him and enjoy His presence.

This is not something strange and unusual. Throughout Scripture, God made Himself known and worked in the lives of people. He wants you to live in relationship with Him. His great desire for you to know Him is shown most dramatically in the giving of His own Son to bring us wholeness and forgiveness.

We all know life is hard and presents many difficulties. Living life in the presence of God is a tremendous blessing.

Second, God desires that we live for Him and according to His ways. Living in obedience to God is a blessing in itself. Living in obedience puts us in a place of experiencing life as God intended.

God told the people of Malachi’s day that He wanted to bless the people of Israel. Their disobedience had  prevented God’s blessing. God wanted to “throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it” (Malachi 3:13).

Third, God wants us to let Him guide us through life. Nothing is as hard as being alone. God wants to bless us with His presence and show us His way. When we call on Him, He blesses us with His direction. One of my life passages calls on us to acknowledge God in every circumstance so that He can direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

I thank God for directed paths.

May you live in the blessings of God.

Have a great week!

  1. GIVING WITHOUT EXPECTATION IN WORSHIP OF BEING MATERIALLY BLESSED, “YET THOUGH HE SLAY ME, I WILL WORSHIP HIM,” IS A POSITIONAL RELATIONSHIP AS DISPLAYED BY THE FOUNDING AND PRESERVATION OF JEFFERSON PARISH MUSEUM. THOSE WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED HAVE THEIR NAMES WRITTEN IN THE LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE. EVIL RESISTS ITS EXISTENCE AND FINDS HELP VIA THE SILENCE OF OTHERS. IT IS THE SILENT ONES AND THOSE ONLY ACTING FOR A PRICE WHO ASSISTED IN THE STONING OF STEVEN AND THE DESTRUCTION/DESECRATION OF THE TEMPLE.

    Great message of Romans 12:4&5

    Blessings
