Do you want to make things better? If you knew things could be better, would you dare to do what it takes to make them better?
I didn’t ask if you wanted to change because I’ve found most people don’t want to change. They (we) would like to see a better life. We can have a better life by following these truths.
Truth One: To live differently, you must think differently. Remember the old definition of insanity? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. We follow the insane plan in almost every area of our lives.
We do the same things over and over in relation to money, marriage, parenting, and our relationship with God. Then we expect a better result.
To make things better, you must think differently. God tells us not to be conformed to the world around us but to be fundamentally transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2).
Renew your mind and you will renew your life.
Truth Two: To end right you must start right. We all like a good ending; our problem is we don’t like good beginnings. You can’t have a good ending until you have a good beginning.
The time to start your new life is today. The problem with “getting around to it” is that we never quite get around to it. In all things, today is the time to begin. In spiritual things, we must remember to hear the Holy Spirit who says, “Today you must listen to his voice. Don’t harden your hearts against him. . .” (Hebrews 3:7-8). It’s time to draw near to God so that He will draw near to us (James 4:8).
Truth Three: You must overcome your fear. Somewhere in the past I read that if you don’t overcome your fear you would never experience the joy of swimming, riding a bike, or kissing a girl. Fear destroys us and keeps us from experiencing the best things of life.
What is holding you back?

This is exactly what I needed this morning Dr. Bailey, thanks for always sharing your encouraging words!
Great news and thanks for reading and commenting.
I’ll second that comment and offer some help on “now is the day of Salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2 A similar passage according to the Bible given to me by my eldest son is Isaiah 49:8: “and in a day of salvation I have I helped thee…” Thomas Nelson KJV.
So how about Romans 12:3-6, etc.?
“This is the Day that the Lord has made!” as sung by my eldest boy on his sixth birthday stuck miles from anywhere when I took him fishing. And from over the levee came a fellow calling out. “Need help?” Then he towed us home and refused payment. Thank you Lord! Your promise on both sides of that deed is Remembered.
Blessings!
Thanks. Great verses–they all are.
Ed, I just saw why you posted what you do. The final version–not the one posted–is now up. Take another look.
They are all “good verses” indeed; and, I like the changes you made very much. A great help! Blessings!
Thanks!!!
