Last week First Baptist Church called a congregational meeting for Wednesday, March 19, at 6:15 PM to hear a report from our Strategy Planning Team (SPT) concerning our building project.

Last October, First Baptist Church entered into a capital campaign called Rise Up! to raise funds for our new building project. At the same time, we hired HH Architects to serve as the design and implementation team for our church. HH Architects is a nationwide firm specializing in church architecture.

When we hired this firm, they asked permission to look at all our assumptions and to explore all available options for this important project. We granted that permission. They have looked at what we are doing and they have presented their recommendation to the Strategy Team.

Wednesday, March 19, the SPT will present the recommendation from our architects and tell us their response to the approach.

We believe this process (though time consuming) has been good for the church for financial and planning reasons. We believe it will equip us to do greater ministry in the future at this location.

The SPT is excited about this recommendation.

We want to encourage you to be present for this very important meeting. We will deal briefly with routine matters and spend the remainder of our time discussing the HH recommendation. We will conclude by 7:30 PM.
