The Countdown Is On!

Our resurrection celebration Easter weekend is the biggest time of the year at First Baptist Church. The countdown to Easter is on.

Now is the time to make plans to attend and to determine those people you will invite to worship with you for those services. Each year more people attend for Easter than any other time of the year.

Unchurched people identify Easter with Christ and the church. They will be more open to worship at this time than any other.

Here’s a suggested checklist for Easter:

1. Determine which services to attend and get the whole family on board. Plan to attend a Bible Fellowship Group.

2. Ask God to show you who to invite for that day.

3. Spend time in prayer before you ask your friend. Ask God to prepare the way and open the door for your invitation.

4. Contact your friends now to ask them to consider attending with you. Everyone likes advance notice. The sooner you mention this the easier it will be for your friends and family to attend with you.

5. Call one week out to remind your guests and to answer questions.

6. Call the day before to tell them where you will meet them and give final instructions. Everyone likes to know where they are going and how to get there. Give them detailed instructions. Offer to come by and let them ride with you.

7. After Easter, call to thank them for joining you and invite them to join you next week.

You can make a difference in someone’s life as you invite them to get to know God. Many people are simply waiting for the right invitation.
