Vacation Bible School made a profound difference in my life.

As a child, I received solid Bible teaching, loving adult leadership, and a challenge to live for Christ for all of my life. I also had a wonderful time making crafts (I still have a letter holder I made at VBS) and spending time with my friends.

We want the VBS of First Baptist Church to do the same for your children and the children of our community.

This past week more than 100 volunteers met for VBS training. Each worker was trained in the overall goals and ideals of VBS. Each worker also received training for the specific area where they will lead.

In addition, every worker received training in helping to communicate the life changing message of Christ to our children.

Kevin Harless, our Children’s Pastor (he likes to be called the Kid’s Pastor), described the training like this: “While we have a great time, fun crafts, and awesome worship, we remember why we do this. We want every child to get to hear about Jesus Christ. We know that is the main thing. We also know this may be the only time some children get to hear about Christ.”

The VBS leadership is still looking for more dedicated leaders who will serve Christ by serving in VBS.

VBS starts the next morning at 8:30.

Be sure to register your children online as soon as possible. Then they will be ready to join over 1000 other children as they get started on the thrilling adventure of Agency D3.
