From the Bottom of Our Hearts

Martha and I wish to thank you for your kindness and generosity over the past 25 years.

Your love and kindness have not been more evident than last week when you celebrated our 25th anniversary at First Baptist Church.

We want to express our appreciation to you for the great picnic we had. Martha has said more than once how much fun she had at the picnic. If you would like to read how Martha expressed her appreciation for your kindness over these years, you can read “Smitten by First Baptist Church” at www.Marthabailey.com.

Here are some of the things for which I am thankful:

Your desire to reach people with the Gospel and your joy at seeing people come to faith in Christ.

Your love for the Scripture and your desire to place it at the center of our ministry.

The extra effort you put in to make the church-wide picnic such a time of fellowship and bringing the whole church together.

Your generous love offering.

How you joked about 25 more years.

Your love for our family and the way you encourage us.

The way you have embraced my desire to emphasize the unity and harmony of the church.

How you love our Lord.

How you love all people. You have made FBC a place where “In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us” (Colossians 3:11).
