Who You Are In Christ

“Your life is a spiritual phenomenon. You are one of God’s crowning achievements. You are the full expression of His creative genius–and no troubled marriage or disastrous employment record or sin-dogged season on your part can possibly change this fact. God was at His very best when He made you”–Patrick Morley.

“When a believer is born again, our reason is enlightened, our desires are directed toward God, and our will becomes submissive to God. But not all at once. It is a process of growth over time. God tells us to renew our minds, desire Him, and submit to Him. Rom. 12:2”–John Kincaid.

“Some question whether people can really change. We’re being told that people are stuck in a lifestyle and can never be different–that once a person’s personality and behavior are set, it is impossible to change. If I believed that, I would close my Bible and never mention Jesus again”–Jack Graham.

“What we mean is that God was in Christ, offering peace and forgiveness to the people of this world. And he has given us the work of sharing his message about peace. We were sent to speak for Christ, and God is begging you to listen to our message. We speak for Christ and sincerely ask you to make peace with God. Christ never sinned! But God treated him as a sinner, so that Christ could make us acceptable to God”–2 Corinthians 5:19-21.

“So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ–that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective”–Colossians 3:1-2, The Message.
