Something Old, Something New

We know the world is changing.

It always has; it always will.

One way the world is changing is our use of technology. We have embraced technology to help us do so many things. Martha routinely sends me a picture of whatever I need to pick up (I’m really challenged in a grocery store).

We do the same way with church. Most people routinely check us out (that is, First Baptist Church) before they attend. Of course, people still ask their friends and get recommendations, but they also go online to learn about FBC.

With that in mind, we have two new ways for people to check us out.

First, we have a redesign of our website. You still access it at www.fbccov.org. It still gives the basics of what people need to know such as times, directions, ministries, and belief, but it does so in a new, fresh, and inviting format. We hope this will be a way you can encourage those you invite to get a feel for the church before they attend.

Second, we have begun streaming our services live over the web. Each worship service can now be viewed in its entirety in real time. Everything we do in the worship service is available over the internet @www.fbccov.org–prayer, music, preaching, you can even give your offering to God online!

We know you live in a fast-paced world. We hope this will help you stay connected to the church and facilitate your spiritual growth. I appreciate this service because it allows us to offer each of our worship services in its entirety with both audio and video.

Also, if you can’t view the service live, our website will allow you to go back later in the week to participate in the service.

I am thankful that people around the world–many of whom have no opportunity to hear the gospel–can worship with us.

May God bless His people as we worship Him.
