It’s Election Day in America

It’s election day in America, and you have a lot to do this day.

Please pray. Pray for America. Pray for its righteousness and your righteousness.

Please vote. You have been given a sacred privilege, bought with blood and sacrifice. Your vote helps determine the future. Elections have consequences, and this election may have more consequences than most.

Please teach your children about voting and why it matters. You are raising up future citizens and lovers of God and this land. Teach them diligently.

Please encourage thoughtful, prayerful people to vote. Sometimes our neighbors and family members need a reminder. Please help them to see the significance of what we are doing.

Please encourage righteousness. “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34).

Please pray for elected leaders. God has given us the opportunity to pray for leaders (1Timothy 2:1-4). Pray for their wisdom, righteousness, and above all else, their courage to lead in righteous paths. Those we elect set the tone for our nation.

Please vote your Christian values. We need to “salt” our country, and we need to shine the light of Christ on our nation (Matthew 5:13-14)

Please humble yourself and pray. “Then if my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

  1. Thank you Waylon. Voting is a privilege and a duty for every citizen. This is one of my favorite verses and it comes to mind often. I pray for a spiritual revival. More than ever before, we ask God to heal our country.

    2 Chronicles 7:14
