Please Welcome Chris Kroll

Today we welcome Chris and Crystal Kroll and their family to First Baptist Church.

Chris is visiting with us this weekend in view of a call as our Student Minister. Our Student Minister has pastoral leadership for 7-12 graders and their families.

Chris and Crystal will be introduced at all worship services and will have the opportunity to meet with students and parents before and after our worship services. During the Bible Fellowship hours Chris will have the opportunity to see our organization at work.

They will also be a part of 5:13 Sunday evening, giving them an extended time to get to know our church and for us to spend time with them.

We have called a congregational meeting for Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. The Personnel Ministry Team has interviewed Chris and desires to recommend that he be called as our Student Minister. You will have the opportunity to vote on the recommendation Wednesday evening. This will be a brief congregational meeting since this is the only item of business.

Chris serves at the Hartford Baptist Church of Hartford, Alabama, a place where he has ministered for the last six years.  He first went to the church as the youth pastor, serving for three years in that capacity. When the senior pastor moved from the church, the congregation asked Chris to be the pastor. He was now completed three years as pastor of the Hartford Baptist Church and desires to return to youth ministry.

Chris and Crystal are natives of Defuniak Springs, Florida. Chris began his work career as a Certified Public Accountant, doing private accounting and then working in county government.

When he received his call to ministry, he completed a Masters degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

The Krolls have been married thirteen years and are parents of five children, Andrew (10), Luke (8), Ella Grace (5), Emery Faith (2), and Nathanael (9 months).

Please join me in welcoming the Krolls to First Baptist Church.
