Our Help in Ages Past, Our Hope for Years to Come

What a blessing to know God and His Word.

His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. In Him and His Word we find strength. His words are sweet as honey to our taste. O taste and see that the Lord is good!

These verses have blessed my life. I pray they will bless you as well.

“I’ve commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged! I am the Lord your God, and I will be there you to help you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

“Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. . . . You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you” (2 Chronicles 20:15-17).

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4).

“The Lord is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1).

“But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love . . .” (Psalm 33:18).

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. . .” (Isaiah 43:2-3).

“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed sway’ ” (Revelation 21:3-4).

Isaiah 43:2-3 hasn’t been read recently. Thankful for it today and all of our tomorrows.
I so appreciate these reminders in God’s Word.
Love In Christ to you and Martha
