It’s Been A Good Week

It’s been a good week.

It’s always nice when you get back into a routine and structure. The beginning of school seems to do that for us.

It’s also been good to have so many people back at church and so many new people with us.

Over the last several months we’ve seen an increase in the number of new people joining us for worship and Bible study. Also, we’ve been amazed at how many of those families are 20 somethings and 30 somethings with children.

That’s reflecting in the numbers of children and young people who are attending our Bible study classes.

This past Sunday we had a “most ever” attendance in our total Bible study, with 1541 people meeting for the weekend Bible study classes.

Our youth attendance (7–12 grades) also reached a record number. We are thrilled to see young families getting involved in the life of the church

At the same time, we also had a most ever worship attendance last week (the first Sunday in August), at least for a non-Easter week.

In some ways, it seems that the new building can’t get here fast enough. We are now having overflow attendance in our youth Bible studies (The ROC) as well as in the main building.

All these are good problems, of course. We are grateful for God’s blessings and thankful at this hard time in American history to continue to see the church reaching people and touching lives.

Would you redouble your efforts to reach your family and friends with the Gospel? May God lead us and continue to bless us as we seek to serve him.

  1. Great to hear that our church and Bible Study attendance is growing. We hear so much about how the church in America is dying.. God has blessed us and is using us to help bring about a much-needed change in our country. “If we build it, they will come” We all need to step-up to the challenges ahead. Thanks for your untiring leadership.
