There are many things about churches and money of which you may not be aware.

Did you know that mission sending agencies–including Southern Baptist’s International Mission Board are having to recall missionaries because of lack of funds? In these last days when the gospel needs to go out to all the world, we are having a funding crisis.

Did you know that 24% of all giving to charities is done between Thanksgiving and Christmas? I am thankful for a generous nation. Please consider carefully where you will give your charitable funds.

Did you know that often the charities which are closest to the people – – think of the Covington Food Bank, the Samaritan Center, and Northlake Crisis Pregnancy Center – – are often thought of last rather than first?

Did you know your church offering envelope helps make record-keeping quicker, easier, and more accurate? Did you know placing the amount of your giving on the envelope also aids in record-keeping and reconciliation of total funds given? Did you know you can give one check and designate to the Rise Up! Building Fund or other funds from that one check?

Did you know giving appreciated assets–like common stock, real estate, and jewelry–can help lessen your taxes and also help your church? Giving appreciated assets allows you to give more than might have been possible.

Did you know you can give online through the church website? Did you know almost 20% of the giving to FBC is given online? Did you know you can use your mobile device to give?

Did you know your giving helps minister to over 700 children and teens every week of the year? Did you know your weekly giving touches missionaries in the U.S. and across the globe, promotes Christian education, helps begin new churches, and supports a myriad of other transformative ministries?
