The Power of Humility

Dec.11“The One who is infinitely holy and perfect in majesty has guaranteed that He will dwell with the humble. The humble have God’s approval, honor and grace. He lifts up and exalts us when we display genuine humility”–John Kincaid.

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you”–1 Peter 5:6.

“One’s pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor”–Proverbs 29:23.

“God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble”–James 4:6.

“The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life”–Proverbs 22:4.

“Jesus said, ‘Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted’ “–Luke 18:14.

“Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor”–Proverbs 3:34.

“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land”–2 Chronicles 7:14.

    If we as a country don’t engage humility before God we will indeed become humiliated. Learn from the fate of the Israelites in the Old Testament.

    Great instruction from our Lord. We as a country do need to become more humble and living.
