Generation Next!

Today’s sermon is about tomorrow – – tomorrow’s generation, that is.

My sermon today will be about the next-generation both for the world and for the church. It’s about what we should do to reach the next generation.

I believe the generation growing up and even being born in America today has the potential to determine the future of Christianity in America.

I believe God is going to use this generation in amazing and mighty ways. I want to be part of that, and I want First Baptist Church to be at the forefront of this movement.

That’s why we are building our new education space for preschoolers and children. We believe we have a major part of turning the hearts of the children to the fathers (Malachi 4: 5–6).

For this reason, we are building and expanding our facility. As we have said to our community “We are expanding for your family.”

This Wednesday (6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall) we will have a congregational meeting to hear a recommendation that we began a new capital campaign to “Finish the Race”. This campaign will position us to not only build for the present but also to prepare for the future.

This campaign will allow our many new attenders to participate with us in providing for the future in our community.

Would you consider what God would have you to do to finish our race and to move forward? Would you be a part of the answer of taking the message of Christ to our newest generation and then to the world?
