Can You Imagine?

Can you imagine a world like this–a world apart from God and cut off from the things of God?

Can you imagine never being convicted of sin?

Those who are without Christ and without the testimony of the Holy Spirit have no real understanding of sin. They are not convicted by their sinful actions and may have no understanding that they are doing wrong of any kind.

Can you imagine life without the Holy Spirit giving you guidance, direction, and conviction of sin and righteousness?

Unbelievers do not have the blessing of the testimony of the Holy Spirit in their lives. They live life without the guidance of a loving heavenly Father.

Can you imagine not being guided by Holy Scripture?

Yet, many people have never even read Scripture. They don’t know where “do unto others” or “love your neighbor as yourself” comes from. In fact, they may not know those concepts exist.

Can you imagine life without spiritual discernment–seeing life through the eyes of God?

The person without God in his life cannot see spiritual truths because the truths of God are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:13-14).

Can you imagine life without a loving church family, people who pray for you and want the best for you?

Those without Christ are without God and without the daily influence of godly people. Can you imagine life without your church family? What would it be like to never talk to a follower of Jesus Christ?

Can you imagine thinking that there is no God and not knowing God sent His Son to die for you?

Can you imagine a life without hope?

The Bible tells us that those without Christ are without hope and without God in the world. “You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God has made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope” (Ephesians 2:12).

Can you imagine having none of this and no one tells you what you are missing?

As Jim Denison has said, lost people deserve to know they are lost.

Will you tell them?

  1. No I cannot imagine. Those of us who are Christians and have a personal relationship with him need to be transparent in who we are. Does our walk reflect our talk? Would you trust someone who was not transparent about their own walk and life?
