I have good news–our Forward! Capital Campaign is approaching 500 commitments!

These are 500 commitments to give, pray, and seek God and then to follow God’s direction.

A capital campaign is never only about giving; it is about being open to God and letting God show you what He can do through you and His church.

At the present time we have had 487 commitments with a total of $3,342,694.00 committed. By the conclusion of our worship services this weekend, we will probably have reached the 500 mark.

Why are we emphasizing the number of commitments instead of the amount of money committed? Both are important, but the health of the church is in shared sacrifice instead of money given.

My goal throughout the capital campaign has been to include as many people as possible in an opportunity to spend time as a family or individually seeking God’s direction and following His will. Our following this process will bless us and the church as we join together to make this expansion possible.

In the years to come, I want all of us to be able to look back and know that we participated and did our best in the building that is now a rising in the front lawn.
I hope in years to come those who are children today will drive by with their own children and say, “I helped build that building.”
