Scripture I Want to Emphasize in the New Year

One of the things I want to happen in the new year is to be more attune to Scripture.

I want to make sure that I study, learn, and meditate Scripture. But that is not enough. I want to live Scripture.

Here are Scripture passages I want to live by in the days ahead.

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:4-7).

“For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God” (1 Corinthians 2:2).

“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on you, Because he trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3).

“Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

“For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15).

“Trust in the Lord with all our heart, And lean not on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil” (Proverbs 3:5-7).

I pray you will seek the Lord with all your heart and will follow Him in all your ways for “it will be health to your flesh, and strength to you bones” (Proverbs 3:8).

  1. Great scripture verses. Another one to live by as the New Year approaches is Romans 1:16.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God, that brings salvation to everyone who believes…….
