This weekend will be a significant weekend for our church. We will make decisions which will determine the future of our church, and we will hold events which could and should make a difference in your life with the Lord.

Let me tell you about these four events.

First, we welcome Maggie Fredericks to our church in view of a call as Children’s Minister at First Baptist church. I gave you a fuller biography for Maggie last week.

This week we want you to have the opportunity to meet Maggie and her family. She and Carl have five adult children, the youngest of whom is a senior in high school. They anticipate having their five children and one spouse with them
this weekend.

You will have the opportunity to meet them all. We will hold a vote on the recommendation from the Personnel Ministry Team that Maggie be called as our children’s ministry as part of our Congregational meeting Wednesday, February 8 at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall.

Second, tonight (Sunday) we will have our Discovery Class, a class designed for new members and those who are interested in church membership.

The meeting begins at 5 PM with a meal and concludes at 7:30 PM. Childcare is provided.

You are invited and encouraged to attend. Please go online as early as possible to sign up for your attendance. You may also alert one of our pastors that you intend to participate.

Third, today (Sunday) is the day of our regularly scheduled Bible Fellowship Leadership meeting. This is the time when we ask those who lead in our Bible Fellowship groups to attend a leadership meeting. If you are a part of the leadership please make every effort to attend each meeting. The leadership meetings keep us all on the same page and moving in the same direction.

Fourth, we are privileged to host a grandparenting seminar led by .

We live in a significant time. When many grandparents are caring for their grandchildren. We want to support and encourage these grandparents.

If you are in this situation in life or if you would simply like to be a greater and better grandparent for your grandchildren, you can attend this afternoon (Sunday) at 4 PM.
