Things We All Need

“I do not want the walls of separation between different orders of Christians to be destroyed, but only lowered, so that we may shake hands a little easier”–Rowland Hill, British preacher.

“It is not enough for Christians to have faith in the Lord; they also must have faith in one another”–Warren Wiersbe.

“Before you go to sleep tonight, I challenge every single one of you to do something nice for a complete stranger. Our world needs that”–Bo Jackson.

“Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive our darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive our hate, only love can do that”–Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed”–Proverbs 11:24-25.

“A witness that is lived can be as powerful as one that is spoken. It’s not what you say but who you are that catches the attention of those around you—which is one reason God allows grievances, crises, sufferings, injustice, and hardship to come into our lives. Because problems offer us the opportunity to give silent, relevant witness to the difference faith in God can make. The problems enable us to become a showcase so that the world can look into our lives and see the glory of God revealed.”–Anne Graham Lotz.
