I Have Really Good News

I have really good news.

As most of you know, we have been searching for worship leaders since July 2016.

During this time we have interviewed, listened, and prayed. We continue to seek those people who will lead us in the future. We are looking for two different worship leaders, one to lead our present 8:30 AM service which features choir and orchestra and one for our present 6:00 PM Saturday,  9:45 AM and 11:00 AM Sunday services which feature a band.

While we continue to seek God’s leadership for the choir and orchestra service, we are now ready to present a couple to lead our current 6 PM Saturday,  9:45 AM and 11:00 AM Sunday worship services.

Benji and Jenna Cowart are being recommended as Worship Arts Pastors. They have been with us a number of times over the past few months.  We have gotten to know them and their family and feel led to bring them before the church.

Both Benji and Jenna are accomplished musicians with a passion for leading worship.  For the past 3 1/2 years they have been writing music and serving as guest worship leaders out of Nashville, Tennessee.  Prior to returning to their native Nashville, Benji and Jenna served as worship leaders in churches in Florida, Nevada, and New York.

Our personnel team has met with them and is recommending them to the church.

We will have the formal recommendation and vote in our Congregational Meeting this Wednesday at 6:30 PM (June 28) in the Fellowship Hall.  Should they be elected they will begin service with us August 12-13, 2017.

During this time, we will also have time to talk about direction as we continue to seek a leader for the present 8:30 service.

Our meeting Wednesday will be a very important meeting time for our church.  Please join with us as we continue to seek God’s leadership.

  1. What wonderful news. They are awesome and will be great worship leaders for us. I am so grateful they feel led to come to us and I believe they will be a blessing to our church and staff.

  2. Yes, praise God from whom all blessings flow!

May God use the Cowarts to lead us into even deeper and more intimate times of exalting God.

Thanks to all of our brothers and sisters who prayed and recruited and prayed and recruited, etc….your diligence and faithfulness has yielded awesome results.

I am also grateful to the Cowarts for responding to the call of the Holy Spirit to assist us in glorifying Our God and Savior!

As the southern Hebrews would say (and Waylon can confirm) – Yeeeeeehaaaaw…rough translation, may God be praised!
