There Is Nothing Like the Cross of Christ

“There are no crown-wearers in heaven who were not cross-bearers here below”–Charles Haddon Spurgeon.

“As we work, God works. When we give God our best, he gives us his best. The more we surrender ourselves to him, the more we position ourselves to be used by him”–Jim Denison.

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and give himself for me”–Galatians 2:20.

“To endure the cross is not tragedy; it is the suffering which is the fruit of an exclusive allegiance to Jesus Christ”–Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

“No creature that deserved redemption would need to be redeemed. They that are whole need not the physician. Christ died for men precisely because men are not worth dying for, to make them worth it”–C.S. Lewis.

“Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now I see”–John Newton (1725-1807).

“We wish sometimes that people could understand why Christ is so important to us, that they could see why serving Him is worth all the sacrifice. But there are things about the kindgom that can only be known by those who have the Spirit living inside them, teaching them, showing them”–The Gift.

“But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us! Much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by His blood, we will be saved through Him from wrath”–Romans 5:8-9.
