Changes and Opportunities

Martha and I had a great time away, and we are very excited about being back.

The next weeks and months will be an exciting and challenging time as we occupy our new education building and move most of our Adult Bible Fellowship groups to new locations as well as new times. This will occur early in September as we begin our new schedule.

If you have not heard or known, we will begin the schedule for our new worship center (which will open sometime around or before Easter) in September so that we can work out the difficulties and get accustomed to the difficulty of change. We are doing this so that when we move into the new building all we have to do is give God the glory, celebrate, and rejoice.

The building is magnificent in its design. It is very similar (but much larger) than the worship center at our location on Jefferson Street in downtown Covington.

That place of worship was characterized by intimacy and warmth. It had a baptistery that protruded into the seating area and a wide seating configuration that allowed worshipers to see other worshipers. The new place of worship will have the same features.

Please pray about our decisions. While everything is working well, our decisions seem to be multiplying.

Please also pray for the changes we will face. When we begin the new schedule, we will also begin a new Sunday evening and Wednesday evening schedule.

None of this will be easy, but all of it will be important to our future ministry.

I look forward to praying with you as we worship and serve together.
