Today we welcome Benji and Jenna Cowart and their family to serve with us as Worship Arts pastors.

We have prayed for over a year that God would bring us just the right people to serve in this very important capacity. We believe that God has answered our prayer.

Benji and Jenna have served as worship leaders at churches in Florida, Nevada, and New York.

They served in Buffalo, New York, for seven years before moving to Nashville to write music. Benji has been instrumental in writing some of the most popular songs in contemporary Christian music. We are hopeful and prayerful that he will continue with song writing, knowing that our congregation will benefit from his many gifts. While their primary responsibility will be to lead worship services Saturday night and Sunday at 9:45 and 11:00, they will be involved in all music.  Also, Jenna will be leading our Youth Choir.

The front page of The Vision has a picture of the entire family. Benji and Jenna have four children: Braden (a senior in high school), Kyndall (a high school freshman), Zack (a sixth grader), and Maisy (a third grader). Most of us have had opportunities to meet the Cowarts and to worship under their leadership. We are thankful to welcome this family to First Baptist Church.

Please remember that we are many and they are few. It’s always difficult to learn new names and faces. Please help them get to know you, and please pray for their quick assimilation to a new church, new schools, a new house, and new friends.

Please pray that God would use this family for His glory as we worship and serve together.

Please also pray as we seek the person to give leadership for our choir and orchestra.
