When Life Becomes Too Difficult

“We were faced with some tough decisions. Are we going to abandon our faith or apply our faith? Allow our grief to make us bitter, or allow God to use that grief to make us better? How are we going to live so that our Lord and Adam are honored by our lives while we wait to join them in heaven?”–Larry Brown, father of Seal Team Six fallen hero Adam Brown.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal”–2 Corinthians 4:16-18.

“Whenever you see persecution, there is more than a probability that truth is on the persecuted side”–English martyr Hugh Latimer.

“If the road is easy, you are likely going the wrong way.”

“When wealth is lost, nothing is lost, when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, everything is lost”–Billy Graham.

“The swift wind of compromise is a lot more devastating than the sudden jolt of misfortune.”–Chuck Swindoll.
