A New Wednesday

Beginning September 13, Wednesdays will be new at FBC.

Here’s what will take place and at what time.

Wednesday suppers are returning. Chris Folse of Carpool Catering will be providing the meals with a varied menu for adults and children. The suppers will be provided in the Fellowship Hall from 5:00-6:30.

All preschool, children, and youth events will take place from 6:30-7:45, while adults will have a wide variety of classes meeting from 6:45-7:45.

We are trying to hit “Goldilocks time,” not too early and not too late, but just right. We know the difficulty of getting to FBC after work and school and also the importance of getting home as early as possible to get ready for the next day. Please check the back of The Vision for a full run down and schedule.

Adults will have the opportunity to follow their path for being equipped to do the work of ministry. Paul laid that out for us in his church epistle, the Epistle to the Ephesians: “And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training [equipping] of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man with a  stature measured by Christ’s fullness” (Ephesians 4:11-13).

Our Education Team is putting together a curriculum to facilitate your growth in Christ. I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity.

Why September 13 to begin? Because we move into our new preschool and children’s building the Sunday after Labor Day. We will use the week of Labor Day to move and set up and we will begin our new Sunday schedule September 10 and our new Wednesday schedule Wednesday, September 13.
