Our New Sunday Schedule

Last week, I wrote about our new Wednesday Schedule beginning September 13. Today I want to write about our new Sunday Schedule beginning September 10.

Sunday September 10 will be a significant day in the life of our church. We will open the new building and begin Preschool (birth-four year olds) and Children (K-6th grade) Bible Fellowship groups in the new facility. That is certainly a day you don’t want to miss. For the first time in my years at FBC, we will have adequate Bible Study space. I am thankful to see this day. Your offerings to the building program are opening new doors for the ministry of the Word.

Luke summarized the ministry of the Word of God. He said, “And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith” (Acts 6:7).

September 10 (two weeks from today) will also be the beginning of our new schedule for worship. We will have our regular Saturday night service and two Sunday worship hours at 9:30 and 11:00 AM. These will be the times we will meet in the new worship center as well (anticipated by Easter or before in 2018).

These two Sunday hours will have the same elements and the same message. The only real difference will be in music.

The 9:30 worship time will include a choir and orchestra while the 11:00 worship time will be band driven.

Soon we hope to have a leader for our choir and orchestra who will work alongside Benji and Jenna Cowart and our entire pastoral team to “equip the saints to do the work of ministry and to build up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11).

Please make every effort to join us for worship and Bible Study this fall as we prepare for the opening of our new worship center.

I hope all of the construction workers and their families will be among the first to fill and enjoy our new spaces with us!
I am thankful for my church family!
