Five Things You Need to Know about the New Schedule

We are thankful to God for the blessing of the opening of our new building for Preschool and Children.

This has allowed us to move adults into the areas formerly housing our children. For the first time in my ministry at FBC (28 years), we have Bible Study space to begin new groups at all our Bible Study hours! Thanks be to God for His wonderful blessings.

With the beginning of our new schedule, there are five things we need you to know.

First, you will need to adjust your parking now that we have moved to new areas for our classes. Our West Lot (the one nearest Hammond and Ponchatoula) will be the one that most adults without children or youth will want to park. Once our expansion is complete, we will have special parking in that area for senior adults.

Since we expect the East Lot (the one nearest Covington and Mandeville and where the ROC and Pavilion are located) to be the most used, we request those who are able to walk distances to use the West Lot. (Your Fitbit can record your extra steps!).

Second, we now have three worship services at 6:00 PM Saturday and 9:30 and 11:00 Sunday. We expect the 11:00 service to be completely full. We have an overflow in the Fellowship Hall to accommodate the number of people attending. If you attend worship without a Bible Fellowship class, would you please consider the 9:30 service. That leads me to numbers 3, 4, and 5.

Third, please arrive on time for worship. Each service will begin at or before the stated time. We want you to experience God’s presence in worship. Arriving on time or even early for prayer and/or fellowship with others will make a significant addition to your worship.

Fourth, sit as close to the front as possible. I realize we all have our choices about where we feel comfortable to sit. For that reason, sit as close as you are comfortable. That will allow newcomers and late-comers to feel comfortable as well.

Fifth, let the new schedule also be a new beginning for you. Draw nearer to God. Seek Him with all your heart, and He will bless you with His Presence.

  1. Mary and I really enjoyed the new schedule today. We were able to go to the 8:15 Bible study and I was still able to man my door to greet people. I met and saw people that I had never seen before and we have been here since April 2004.
