What’s Next?

What a blessing we have experienced over the past two weeks!

We have taken possession of our new building for preschoolers and children and we have been blessed to have adequate space for our Bible study groups. We call these Bible Fellowship Groups. As I have stated before, for the first time in my 28 years at FBC we have room for our present classes and space to begin new classes.

Small group Bible studies are essential for churches like ours. I hope you will be faithful to your group if you already attend. If you are not yet a member of a group, please continue to pray for God’s leadership as you get involved.

What’s next?

Around the first of October, we will begin the renovation of our West Hallway and the West Entrance. All of the foyer will be renovated as well. We will begin working on the west side of the building and move to the east. We should complete this by Thanksgiving.

The East and West Entrances will receive new flooring, paint, and new entry doors while the main hallway will get new carpet.

Early in October the first of the two courtyards will be complete. This will provide for beautiful places for meetings, weddings, Bible groups, and simply time to be alone with God.

Toward the end of this year, work will begin on the Administration Building. It will be completed next summer. When it is complete, we will renovate our current office space for our Special Needs Ministry. While our ministry for these children demands muted colors, we will have wall graphics similar to our new preschool and children’s areas.

Finally, we hope to occupy the Commons area and the new Worship Center by Easter.

What a powerful and blessed Resurrection celebration it will be!
