“Wonderful” Wednesdays at FBC

Wednesdays have been wonderful at FBC.

We are thankful for your embracing our new schedule and new opportunities to serve, grow, and worship at First Baptist Church.

Let me tell you about some of the things that are making Wednesdays wonderful at FBC. These are in no particular order of importance.

First, the new “Goldilocks” time seems to be working well. We tried to find a time that was “just right” to begin and end the opportunities each Wednesday. We begin most adult meetings at 6:45 and end promptly at 7:45. This allows us to reach as many commuters as possible without getting children home too late.

Second, the completion of 4-laning Highway 21 is helping traffic and therefore helping all of us make the trip. We believe the completion of the widening will also help us on Sundays as well.

Third, we have great children and youth ministries and participation. Your teens and children will find a large group dedicated to teaching how Scripture applies to life.

Fourth, our Education Team has put together a plan to help you grow in Christ and to see a pathway to get you where you need to be. Each Wednesday, we have short-term classes that allow you to assess where you are and tailor a plan to get you where you want and need to be.

Our long-term class is a weekly verse by verse Bible Study led by me to  help us study the Bible in depth. This study looks at geography, history, theology, and application of the Scripture. It seeks to help leaders and students go back to our Sunday Bible Fellowship classes and further lead the church.

Finally, the food for the Wednesday supper is great! We are having over 250 people joining us for supper. The togetherness, genuinely good food, and the time to spend with one another makes it a really good time.

I hope you will join us for this time of growth and fellowship on Wednesdays.
