I’d Rather Have Jesus

“I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold;    I’d rather be His than have riches untold;    I’d rather have Jesus than houses of lands;     I’d rather be led by His nail pierced hand    Than to be the king of a vast domain and beheld in sin’s dread sway;    I’d rather have Jesus than anything This world affords today     I’d rather have Jesus than men’s applause;     I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause;    I’d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame;    I’d rather be true to His holy name    He’s fairer than lilies of rarest bloom;     He’s sweeter than honey from out of the comb;    He’s all that my hungering spirit needs;    I’d rather have Jesus and let Him lead “–Oscar C. A. Bernadotte.

“All the armies that ever marched, and all the navies that ever were built, and all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned, put together have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has that One Solitary Life”–James Allen Francis.

“You’ll find no greater joy, peace, or purpose than in serving Jesus alone. There is no greater life than one lived in full devotion to the King of all the earth”–Craig Denison.

“It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; He is the beauty to which you are so attracted; it is He who provoked you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise; it is He who reads in your heart your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle”–John Paul II.

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus”–Philippians 4:19.
