God’s Will

“The key to knowing [God’s] present-tense will is present-tense surrender to his will. Sign a blank check and let him fill in the amount. Give him each day as it comes, trusting him to lead and use you as he wishes. There can be only one driver behind the wheel of your heart, only one captain of your soul . . . . You cannot dedicate the coming year to God, but you can dedicate each day of the year to him as it comes”–Jim Denison.

“God always gives his best to those who leave the choice with him”–Jim Elliott.

“C.T. Studd was a brilliant cricket player in England in the early part of the 20th century. He was from a prominent family and had great national acclaim for his athletic ability. Suddenly he announced his intentions to leave it all to give himself to Christian missions in India, then China and Africa. His family and friends could not understand it. They questioned Studd why he would do such a thing? His classic response was ‘If Jesus Christ is God and He died for me, then no price is too great to pay for Him’ “–Ron Herrod.

“Some want to live within the sound of church or chapel bell; I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell”–C.T. Studd.

“The safest place to be is in the center of God’s will. The most dangerous place is when we are afraid to follow God’s will”–John Kincaid.
