Thanks to All of You

We are now two weeks away from the opening of our new Worship Center. These are truly exciting times for all of us. One of my joys has been watching people walk into the building and see its beauty and size. The most common description has been, “Wow!“ Next weekend we will have “the Big Reveal” when we will open the building after each service for you to visit.

I want to thank all of you who have been faithful to give toward our “Rise Up!“ and “Forward!“ capital campaigns. Your gifts – – both large and small – – have been used of God to bring this wonderful building together.

I also need to remind you that we are not finished with paying for the building. Your gifts will make it possible for us to move on toward God’s goal for all of us individually and the church as a whole.

If you are new to us or if you haven’t been able to give in the past, would you consider making an extra financial gift to help us do what we need to do to finish the task? At the same time, I want to encourage you to faithfulness as you give for the week by week budget needs which make the ministries of First Baptist Church possible.

I truly believe we have only begun to see the great things that God wants to do through our church for our community and the world at large.

As I think about what God is doing and what has happened, my thoughts turn to Paul’s doxology: “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, and for ever and ever! Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21).
