On this Memorial day weekend, we must remember and give thanks for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.

I hope you will do more than just take a day off. I hope that you will also remember.

We are rapidly approaching our summer schedule.

Vacation Bible School begins Monday, June 4. We hope the children you are associated with will participate as we seek to teach Scripture and the gospel message through the excitement and fun of “Game On.” Please remember that VBS takes a lot of energy, donations, and budgeted funds. Like many other of our ministries, over half of the children who attend are from families who are not members of our church.

World Changers will return to FBC Monday June 25. World Changers involves Christian young people who come to our area to help families in need with house improvements and repairs such as new roofs, wheelchair ramps, painting, and many others.

Because of the use of the building during VBS week and World Changers, we will not have Tuesday Men’s Breakfast or Wednesday Worship those weeks.

Tuesday Men’s Breakfast will not meet in June or July. We look forward to beginning again Tuesday August 7.

Wednesday Worship will meet the two other weeks in June–Wednesday June 13 and June 20. June 20 will be our last Wednesday Worship until Wednesday August 8. Our Wednesday meals will begin again at 5:00 PM that night as well.

As you know this Wednesday night will be our Congregational Meeting. At 6:45 in the Worship Center I will give a report to the church of where we are in building, finances, and especially this challenging budget year as we bring our new spaces online.  We will also deal with important decisions from our Finance Team and others.

This Wednesday will be our last Wednesday supper until August 8.
