“God’s Got This!”

Last night I met a college student who is part of a new family at our church. She’s a senior in college and will be graduating this year. I asked her the kind of question that is normal to ask someone completing college,“So, what’s next?“

Her answer was surprising and right on. She said, “I really don’t know, but God‘s got this so I’m not worried.“

I was thrilled at her answer. What a blessing it is to have a God who knows and cares for us. It’s even greater to know that He’s “got this.”

Could I give you some suggestions about how to live this way?

First, acknowledge the goodness of God and His desire to guide and direct us. Remember, “if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives liberally and without disapproval“ (James 1:5).

God invites us to let Him be in charge of our lives. “In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths“ (Proverbs 3:5–6).

Second, let God know that you intend to trust Him and that you want to turn your life over to Him. Let Him know that you want Him to “have this.“ Tell God you are trusting Him for all of life.

Third, seek God with all your heart. Spend time with Him and get to know Him. Learn His ways and follow His paths.

The more we trust God the more we will learn to trust God. The more we submit to Him the more we will be able to submit even more.

God really wants you to know Him, and he wants to bless your life and lead you along His paths.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake“ (Psalm 23:1-3).

God wants to have this, and he wants to have you.
