Reflecting God’s Image in Our Relationships

Relationships are everything.

At some point in life, we all come to understand that relationships–with God and with others–account for the value of life.

God made us for relationship with Him. He created us in His image. He wants us to REFLECT His image in all of our relationships.

These are basic Christian truths.

Our coming sermon series is “REFLECT: Mirroring the Image of God in Our Relationships.”

This series will help us explore God’s design for relationships, the impact of our choosing sin over God, the transforming power of the Gospel on relationships, and the role of the church in seeing relationships restored to their original design through Jesus.

We will see that the Gospel will change everything–our relationships with God’s people, our family, and our neighborhood and work relationships. As we mirror His image, everything begins to change.

Our aim is to see men, women, boys and girls surrender the old self and put on Christ that the image of God might be clearly seen in the world through our relationships with others.

We will begin with Genesis 1 and 3 to see what God planned for His people and how our sin has produced a broken world and broken relationships. Then, we will look to Paul’s letter to the Colossians as He shows how we can reflect God’s Image and see relationships restored.

Please join us next week and throughout May and June as we seek to restore our relationships through Christ.
