Secrets Churches Keep

After looking at the title of this blog, you may be thinking about things which are sinister or unhealthy. I’m actually thinking of things which are very healthy.

It is my conviction that the Holy Spirit has put within us the desire to be like Christ and to grow in our faith, knowledge, and service. The problem is that in many churches that knowledge is a “secret.”

Let me tell you the secrets so that you can get unstuck and moving forward in growing into Christlikeness. Here are three “secrets” that may help move your forward in your growth and ministry.

I have often called our midweek services “the best kept secret of the church.” Each Wednesday evening, we have intensive times of training for growth, ministry, and Christlikeness. Years ago, churches realized that most people need more than just a Sunday morning worship service. They need a good, helpful “jolt” at midweek. At our midweek services, you can get an indepth Bible study to deal with Scripture, doctrine, and how all this applies to you. That happens every week.

Beginning Wednesday August 21, midweek services will increase dramatically as we offer a large number of short term courses.

A second secret is not really a secret since over 2000 people have attended our Discovery Class. The Discovery Class is used to equip new church members and people interested in membership. We attempt to deal with the questions you have and equip you to grow and serve. Our next class is Sunday August 18 at 5:00 PM.

My final secret is that we have a pastoral team committed to your growth through quality offerings that provide for you and the growth of your family. Please don’t let these be secrets. Take advantage of every opportunity to grow in the likeness of Christ.

  1. Wednesday night serves multiple purposes. Mid=week intense study, fellowship and an occasion to meet new participants and new members in a relaxed atmosphere. Well worth the time and effort.
