Meeting a New Worship Pastor

We have invited a perspective Worship Pastor to meet the church and to worship with us next weekend (November16-17). Out of respect for his current place of service, we will introduce him next weekend as we meet for worship.

We have been praying and seeking God’s leadership since the first of July. We feel now that we are ready to present him to the congregation.

The Worship Pastor will work alongside David Logan, our Minister of Music, to lead the church as we worship God.  While the Worship Pastor will primarily lead in the 6:00 PM and 11:00 AM services, he will be involved in the 9:30 service as well as providing leadership in other areas of our music ministry.  And as a pastor of the church, he will lead in making Christ known and giving spiritual direction and guidance.

I have been wonderfully pleased at how our entire music ministry has come together.  We anticipate having a wonderful team of our Minister of Music and our Worship Pastor to lead and to serve under the direction of Jay Johnston, our Associate Pastor.

We hope to present the new Worship Pastor to the church at our Congregational Meeting Wednesday, November 20, at 6:30 PM in Central Hall. If all of this works out, he and his family would move to our area over the holidays to begin serving with us in January.

Please be in prayer as we look forward to meeting this family Saturday and Sunday, November 16-17.

My husband and I have loved the music in recent months. We are to naive to know the church’s specific needs in this area. However, more of the same would be WONDERFUL to us!!!! Love the variety, larger groups, solos, blend of traditional and contemporary. We feel blessed to be in such a caring church.
